"The price you are quoted should always be the price you pay"
Watch out for any extras! |
| Duty of Care |
Many service companies charge extra for a Duty of Care certificate, often £35 is not unheard of.
A computer generated piece of paper for £35 is more extortionate than some bank charges for generating a piece of paper.
Your Duty of Care certificate is an integral part of any controlled waste disposal service and we believe it should be included in the price. |
| Annual uplifts |
Many service companies will try and build in a percentage increase each year into a contract.
Unless you are the Chancellor then who does know what the inflationery increases will be each year?
Better still, don't enter into a long term contract in the first place. |
| What if you move premises? |
What if you move premises? Can you simply take the sanitary bin to your new premises or will the service company insist on a pickup and re-install with extra charges?
An affordable service company will not mind if you move your sanitary units or will be glad to pick up the last service at your old premises and deliver again to your new premises for your next service. |
| Installation charges |
Installation charges are fine when some needs time and equipment to install units, such as hand dryers, water management systems, or other wall mounted equipment.
The typical sanitary bin is simply placed in the toilet and they will then come back in "x" weeks for the first service.
The first installation can simply count as the first service and there is no need to pay extra for installation charges. |
| Any other costs? |
Without having to try and predict every change in your business circumstances and requirements it is simple to ask the service company whether there another extras that may apply to your contract. And get that in writing.
