Bin Exchange or Liners

Bin exchange is where the whole unit is exchanged on each service. The sanitary bin removed is taken to a disposal centre where the units are emptied, cleaned, and prepared for installing again on-site.

Liner service is the sanitary bin unit remains on the customers premises and the service operative will remove the liner and its contents into a discreet waste bag, clean the unit, and replace with a new liner and sanitiser.

Bin Exchange Pros and Cons

PROS - Savings for the service company as this can be a cheaper method for the removal of waste. Companies operating this type of service tend to have more male service employees and therefore men having to enter the ladies toilets.

CONS - Sanitary bins being carried through an office is not very discreet. The replacement bin will have come from another company and maybe marked or scuffed. Higher risk of cross infection as the used bins and replacement sanitary bins are carried in the same vehicle.

Liner Service Pros and Cons

PROS - A more discreet service without the need for sanitary bins to be carried through the office. Higher proportion of female staff operatives. Much greater choice of sanitary bins as the unit remains on your premises. No need to close off your ladies washroom while a service is being carried out.

CONS - Liner exchange may cost more as less units per day may be achieved than bin exchange.

Verdict?

Our verdict is that the liner service is by far the better option. As well as a much more discreet service, you have your own sanitary bin, offering even greater choice.

The pros of the bin exchange only seem to favour the service company rather then the user of the service.
